A Catch-Up Post
Herein lies several small things that I’ve been wanting to blog about, but have never gotten around to it, for some reason.
- I’ve been hanging out on the TheCDP blog for quite a few months. Mr. CDP is an hilarious writer. Around Labor Day he asked for people willing to submit a Mixed Tape (really, a CD, but that doesn’t roll off the tongue as well). About a month ago he reviewed my CD and I’m just now posting that link up. It really didn’t do too badly. My liner notes I sent with it are here. Oh, and buy his book. I’m going to.
- I’m on the first day of trying to have an Inbox of Zero. And it’s working well. I just have to train myself to respond to my email when I want to, not just when it comes in. I’m loving it, actually. How well my co-workers adjust to it remains to be seen.
- I plowed through Robin Hobb’s Shaman’s Crossing a little while ago. Gina stated: “I’ve never seen you read one book at every moment before.” Yeah, it’s that good. If I talk about the plot, it will ruin the book. Just read it.
- I bought Gina a Flip Video camera for Christmas this year and gave it to her early. Yes, it’s very cool! And the gift is for her (she suggested it!) and not me. Here is a video Gina made of Leah sledding at our house. It is actually two short movies recorded with the Flip and edited with iMovie. Gotta love the iLife . . .
- I’ve been trying out the new “Save” feature in Bloglines Beta. I like it - lot. Better than pinning posts I want to get back to.
- Anyone else tired of the LOLCats? This meme must die.
