A Blogable Moment
I thought Gina was going to post this, but since she hasn’t yet, I’ll beat her to the punch.
On Friday night Gina, Leah and I went to Denny’s. Why? Because we had a coupon. Several, in fact, but we were only going to use the buy-one, get-one coupon. There were others — free appetizer, 20% your bill, etc. There is only one Denny’s in Omaha and, while we knew how to get there, none of us had been there before.
We got to the restaurant and noted that it was almost empty. We sat down and after a while the only waiter came and took our order. No one else really came in — the place was pretty much empty from the time we got there until the time we finished. Gina, being the wonderful person that she is, wanted to give one of the other coupons to someone after they walked in . . . but no one walked in. We waited ten minutes after all three of us finished for someone new to come in the door. Finally, someone did. She walked to their table, coupon in hand . . . and they were already using a coupon! The table next to them also had a couple . . . and they were using a coupon too! Only one table out of the five occupied weren’t using a coupon! And they were after Gina talked to them.
All this begs the question — how many people would have been there if they didn’t have coupons?
