I hope the feeling comes back to my feet soon

To really understand this story, you have to understand that the temperature was 1°F.

When I got to my car this morning, I realized I forgot my hat and gloves in the house. I decided I didn’t need them — I didn’t wait that long for the bus in the afternoon, in the morning I wait in my car, and the bus is usually pretty warm. So I thought that one day without them wouldn’t hurt.

When I got on the bus, I realized that it didn’t feel much warmer — in fact, it was about the same temperature. Some said the same thing to the driver and he confirmed my suspicions: “The heater doesn’t work. All it does is blow cold air. We can try it again if you want.” We tried it and the driver was right — just cold air.

Everyone was good natured about it. I mean, what can you do? When we got to the freeway, someone said, “Now it’s going to get really cold!” And it did — we saw a lot more of our breath while on the freeway than we did in town.

A couple of guys in the back did point out that it could have been worse — when they got on, two windows were open.
