My father-in-law showed up at a camping trip early this summer with this chair. The rest of us basically fought over it the whole camping trip — it was comfortable, you didn’t feel like it was going to fall apart, it didn’t sink in the mud and it seemed to want to last forever. He said that he got it from a store in Sioux Falls.

When Gina and I were in Sioux Falls in July, we visited that store and checked out all the neat stuff they had, including the chair above. We debated on getting it then and there, because we needed a new chair to go camping with. But we decided that we could find one just like it, or similiar, in Omaha.

Before our next camping trip, Gina drove all over Omaha looking for that chair or something like it but couldn’t find anything. Nothing even close. So she settled for a seemingly-nice chair at Target for a bit less money. When I first sat down, it was fine. Later, it seemed to bend back and it really sunk down in the dirt. So I started sitting exclusively on our other (stronger) chair. Gina didn’t see anything wrong with our new chair until she, too, felt it fall away. At LifeLight, no one wanted to sit in it, because they all felt that it was going to collaspe on them at any time.

Just after LifeLight, I said, “Gina, I want to go and get that chair!” So we stopped at the store, debated for a minute or so, and bought it for my birthday. Yes, it was more money than it seemed necessary for a chair, but we know that it’s a good one. As Gina’s dad said as I sat down on it, “You know, that maybe the last lawn chair you ever buy.” And I really think that it should be, too.

I should also state that Gina’s dad has some bad back problems and her brother has spinal biffida. Both of them are very comfortable sitting in this chair for a long period of time. So it give good support for your back, but not too much support. So this chair was engineered, not just willy-nilly manufactured.

So, if you are looking for good chair for camping, cookouts, soccer games, etc., you can do a lot worse than this one. Since it’s unavailable in Omaha, you can buy it direct from them (which is a little more than we paid for it). If the company designs their other products like this chair, you will be well-off with anything they offer.
