Bloglines Freedback
Bloglines is asking for freedback so here I go.
I’ve tried other web-based news aggregators (and even tried to write my own before that) but I always come back to Bloglines. Why? Here are some reasons:
- It’s web-based, so I can continue reading my feeds at work and at home, and anywhere else I may be.
- It’s almost always up, and always fast.
- The interface is intuitive.
- I like to see who is subscribed to what blog, if they make it public. I usually do — I have nothing to hide.
- in the same manner, I love the suggestions. That has really helped add new blogs (which may be a good or bad thing . . )
- The blog search is very, very good. No, really. I like having it in my blog reader.
Some suggestions that I have:
- Instead of categories for your feeds, how about tags? And you can give a feed more than one tag. Yes, this would change how navigation works, but, hey, I’m not a UI guy.
- Buttons to Collaspe All and Expand All.
- Lately my feeds have been screwy. Some blogs I know have been updated don’t show up as new, yet when I click on them I see the new entries. Alright, these sites are on Xanga and Yahoo 360, but they used to work fine.
- I know you are working on it, but better Atom support. Or maybe it’s working now — if so, tell us!
