PhotoRescue
My sister-in-law is visiting and took a bunch of pictures of her kids and Leah playing around. I wanted to get a copy of some of them, but when I put the CompactFlash in and most of the pictures on it were gone! Including the one that we just taken. Action needed to be taken.
After googling I found PhotoRescue, which is available for both Mac and PC. I downloaded the demo and it found all the photos that should have been there, but I had to register to get the photos off the card and onto my hard drive. The neat thing was that when I quit, it offered to make an image of the card on my hard drive. I immediately scanned that image and got the same results.
So we spent the $29 and then load it up. I I loaded the disk image and it found all of them. And it ripped through them and saved them onto the hard drive. The crisis was over.
