More Good Talks on IT Conversations
I’m on another business trip, so it’s time for another review of some find talks from IT Conversations.
- Paul Graham never disappoints and his OSCON 2005 talk is pure Graham. He claims that businesses were the most productive when they were startups and that, since people are more productive when they are working in something they like, businesses should be investing, not forcing people to work.
- Asa Dotzler has an interesting talk on how to make Linux better on the Desktop. He basically says to make it to the lowest common denominator. I’m not sure I agree 100%, but it’s thought-provoking.
- Doug Kaye (IT Conversations founder) has an interesting interview on Tech Nation. He talks about the future of podcasting, and the directions that IT Conversations is going — basically have a network of recorders and hosts can ask for a recorder to come to their conference/meeting. And it’s not just about IT.
